Construction partner for the new hospital building at Calderdale start to setup site cabins

Published on:

From Monday, 19th October, our contractor for the new hospital building at Calderdale Royal Hospital, Laing O’Rourke, will be setting up their site cabins. The cabins will be located in the A&E car park - you can see an artist impression of how they will look in the photo below.

The site cabins will be a self-contained welfare facility for our contractors who are working on the new hospital build. It will contain office facilities, welfare and rest areas, and catering for the Laing O’Rourke workforce. The cabins are essential in ensuring that contractors have their own dedicated area on the site to gather.

The height of the cabins is 12 metres, which is just below the height of CRH.

The first two floors will be built from week commencing Monday, 19th October with the top two floors to be built in the middle of November. The internal fit out of the cabins will continue until the start of December from which point it will be occupied.
