At the back end of last year they received their highest ever Considerate Constructor’s rating - 44/45.  The construction workforce is mainly from the Huddersfield and West Yorkshire areas, and we currently have student next-generation constructors onsite from Kirklees College gaining valuable work experience alongside the skilled teams. There is also an apprentice scheme.

Vinci also offer a positive Intervention board with postcards on it so anyone can share their ideas on how to make it a better place to work and get a fast-tracked response.  Eddie, third right in the group shot, is pictured with CHFT colleagues providing one of the many escorted internal tours. He said: “We recognise the value of being a good partner not just for the Trust and its new A&E but for the whole of the Kirklees local community and the extra value we can offer them. There’s a wide range of skills coming together here so it offers invaluable on-site training for youngsters at the start of their careers.”
