This substantial investment offers us an opportunity which extends far beyond bricks and mortar, into every corner of our diverse communities.
The wider economic impact of such a massive investment cannot be overstated at such a critical time for our local economies.
It brings a boost in local spending, enabling new jobs and skills development in construction and associated trades, apprenticeships for younger people, and opportunities for skills development in digital technologies.
We also recognise our leadership role in addressing the climate emergency and this investment allows us to be more sustainable and an even better, greener neighbour by reducing our carbon footprint and emissions.
HRI A&E
The construction of the new A&E is an opportunity for us to give back. Our partners are almost exclusively local - local firms, and a local workforce using local suppliers.
