The first training course took place at the brand new Learning Centre at Calderdale Royal Hospital on Tuesday 18th February 2025.

The Resuscitation Council UK - RCUK Paediatric Immediate Life Support Course (PILS) was run by Lead Resuscitation Officer, Juliet Hendrick and Resuscitation Officer, Kellie Hemingway in their new dedicated training space.

Juliette, pictured back left, said: “It’s a great space for training and will be hugely beneficial to both us and our trainees.

"We will benefit from larger rooms to offer increased capacity on courses, and have the great benefit of much of the equipment being already set up in our room.

“The whole space is brighter and more spacious, with better technology."

The attendees agreed, with many saying the space was “brighter, more open and welcoming.”
