The new clinical buildings at Calderdale Royal Hospital include a new A&E with a dedicated Children’s A&E department and additional wards.

All will be of a very modern design yet will be created in materials which will continue the theme of blending with and enhancing what is already there and with the local townscape. This development is a landmark designs with landscaped surrounding areas on site to offer the very best experience for our patients and visitors.

The new building will be the same scale as the existing buildings and, as the images show the colour of the materials has been specially selected to match the current hospital buildings.

The new clinical building will have a screen of established trees alongside the roadside and easy access off Godfrey Road. It will be linked to the existing hospital building and the design also incorporates inner courtyard areas offering a light and airy inner core to the building.
